The Government Engineering College Wayanad is located in the hilly district of Wayanad and was Developed in 1999. The college is affiliated to Kannur University.The college is one among the four new engineering colleges in the state established in 1999.The college is located 6 km from Mananthavady .The campus is situated on the side of Mananthavady-Kannur State highway.

• College library-With a large of collection of over 10,000 books, 10 periodicals, CD-ROM’s And reports, the library serves the needs of the students and staff of the college.
• College bus-The College takes care of the transportation of the students and staff from Mananthavady to the college campus.
• Central computing facility (ccf) and internet-The center has 45 numbers of Intel PIV Dual Core Desktop Machines and a few server class machines. The center is meant for hands-on training as Well as sharing the computational resources by staff and students of all departments.
• Edusat-The aim of EDUSAT is to aid conventional class room teaching by bringing the latest through satellite -interactive class rooms.

Admission Details

Eligibility

A Pass in the Plus two / Pre-Degree examination of the Universities in Kerala state or examinations considered equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination.
A Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations of Kerala state or examination considered equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an industrial course of at least three years, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final diploma examination.

Age: The applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st of December in the year immediately previous to the year of admission.
