University College of Engineering or UCE is a premier institute of Engineering and Technology which is being run and managed by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. UCE was the first self-financing college to be started under the university. UCE offers B.Tech. degree courses in five branches of Engineering and Technology and M.Tech. degree course in Applied Electronics. All the courses conducted by the college have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. This institute started functioning on 1996 in Thodupuzha and was later moved to its own campus at Muttom in May 2002. UCE offers B. Tech courses in five streams and an M. Tech course in one stream. Location- The college campus is located in a picturesque place spread over 25 acres of land at Muttom, 8 km away from Thodupuzha, by the side of State Highway No 33.

University College of Engineering Admission Details
- Candidates for admission to the B.Tech degree course shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or 12th Standard V.H.S.E., C.B.S.E., I.S.C. or any examination accepted by the university as equivalent thereto obtaining not less than 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio- technology/ Computer Science/ Biology put together, or a diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala
- Reservation of seats shall be as per rules prescribed in the relevant rules by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala
