St. Thomas Boarding School is managed by The Marthoma Church Educational Society which was registered on 11th May, 1966 under the Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. The Society runs three reputed English medium, co-educational Schools - St. Thomas Residential School (STRS), St. Thomas Central School (STCS) and St. Thomas Higher Secondary School (STHS). St Thomas Residential School is affiliated to the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination and prepares the students for ICSE (10-year course) and ISC (12-year course). St. Thomas Central School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and prepares the students for AISSE (10-year course) and AISSCE (12-year course). St. Thomas Higher Secondary School prepares students for plus Two Examination (12-year course) of the Government of Kerala.
St. Thomas Boarding School is a mega monolith with 3000 children and 124 teachers, it started with six students in a rented building in the heart of the city. From its modest beginning it is now housed in a sylvan surroundings in a smoke and plastic free environment in 30 acres of the green Mukkolakkal heartland. The Boarding of St. Thomas has the warmth and comfort of a home away from home. Admission Details
Admission is normally offered only to Pre-primary-I (Lower Kindergarten) and Std.XI. Those who desire to enroll for PP-I are required to fill in the ‘request’ form issued from the Society office generally during the month of October. The child should have completed 3 years and 6 months by 1st June of the year of admission. In other classes, casual vacancies arising from time to time will be filled up from among applicants after testing the suitability of the student for admission. Formal applications are issued to the selected candidates on payment of the prescribed fee.Admission to Std. I is based on a test conducted during the month of March or April.Admissions to Std. XI is made after the results of the Std. X examination are known.
