Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda Medical College Kerala's first self financing Ayurveda Medical College was established on on the 28th of August 2002. At present, all the departments of Ayurveda Medical College are fully functioning according to the norms of the Central Council of Indian Medicines (CCIM) ; with the state –of- the-art infrastructure and highly professional and qualified teaching faculty. The CCIM, after insection of its educational committee, has granted permission to start the Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda Medical College, with an intake of 50 students, from the year 2002-2003. The college provides excellent standards in practical clinical training and research facilities, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels . The college has the support of a 150 Bed hospital (to be increased to 300 beds), of which 50beds are reserved for the economically weak, who come for treatment and cure. They would be offered free treatment.

The college offers Ayurvedacharya (BAMS–Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) Degree course of 5.5 years duration (3 semesters of 18 months each and 12 months House Surgency).

Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda Medical College Admission Details

• Successful completion of Plus Two course in Science subjects with 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry is required. Admission is based on the list published by the Govt. Entrance Commission for the Merit Quota and as per their existing rules for the management quota.
• Admission procedures are strictly as per the guidelines of the Govt of Kerala stipulated time to time. Currently the admission capacity is 60 per year out of which 50% will be through entrance examinations conducted by the state . The rest 50% shall be treated as management and NRI quota seats. The candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum of 50% marks
