Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College was established by Nangelil Charitable trust in 2002. This college is a self financing institution started with the aim to impart authentic wisdom of Ayurveda and conducts Ayurveda Acharya (BAMS) 5½ years course envisaged and approved by the CCIM New Delhi . The College was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University for degree course from the academic year 2001-2002 and later in 2010 got affiliated to the Kerala University for Health Sciences . The College is fully under the governance of the board of directors of the trust and Dr K A Bhaskaran, the renowned physician is the president of the trust.Mr. C.C Vasu, the Manager (Administration) is looking after the day today ministrative matters of the college.

Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College Admission Details
- Successful completion of Plus Two course in Science subjects with 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry is required. Admission is based on the list published by the Govt. Entrance Commission for the Merit Quota and as per their existing rules for the management quota.
- Admission procedures are strictly as per the guidelines of the Govt of Kerala stipulated time to time. Currently the admission capacity is 60 per year out of which 50% will be through entrance examinations conducted by the state . The rest 50% shall be treated as management and NRI quota seats. The candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum of 50% marks
