N.S.S. College for Women was established in 1950 and was upgraded in 1957.The NSS College of women is renowned and prestigious Institute in Kerala state. The college is affiliated to Kerala University.In 1971, the college was shifted to the present campus at Neeramankara a bordering village of Thiruvananthapuram city.Sri.Mannath Padmanabhan was the Founder of this prestigious college in Kerala state.Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills and self confidence necessary to participate fully in the developing process.

N.S.S. College for Women Facilities:

• Library: There are Library two Section one is General and another one is Reference.Both sections of the Library are come under the charge of the Librarian.The general library will be open from 9.00 am to 4.00 on all working days.Book will be issued between 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. There is separate Reading room for student as well for faculty.
• Lab: There are two Labs one is Computer and Internet Labs and other is Language Labs.The Language labs aim is to improve the communication skills.
• Infrastructure:The college provide Better infrastructure including many facilities like college bus for students and for staff, Fax and Internet,Health & Fitness Center, Auditorium, Seminar Hall for important meeting, Employees Co-Operative Society, Campus Legal Clinic, University Help Desk, Public Information Center and Intercom etc.
• Hostel Facilities:
  The college hostel located inside the campus.There is separate hostel for girls and for boys.College Principal is the Warden of the Hostel.
• Canteen: In college campus there is two canteen made one for hostel and another for college students and staff.
• Extra Curricular Activities:The college prides itself on its excellent reputation and record in Physical Education and sport and extra Curricular Activities. It provide Fitness Center,Seminar/Workshop,Sports and Physical Education.

Admission Procedure:

Students are admitted to the first year of a course on the basis of the University notification.Except for seats under management quota, students are admitted strictly on the basis of merit, for general and reservation categories.The process of admission will be completed only on the payment of the fist installment of fees.
