Government Law College, Thrissur is one of the prominent colleges of its field in Kerala. The institution came into existence in 1992. It is the fourth Government Law College in the State and is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The Government Law College, Thrissur started in the year 1992.Approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, Government Law College, Thrissur offers three-year undergraduate and five-year integrated programs in the field of law.

Admission Details

The number of students admitted in each of the LL.B. classes of the three year LL.B. course is 100. Seats allotted for the 1 year LL.B. (5 year course) is 80. Admission to the LL.B. course is through Entrance test conducted by the Entrance Commissioner, Govt. of Kerala. Candidates seeking admission to the first year LL. B. class of the three year LL. B. course shall be graduates in any Faculty from a recognized University, and to Five year LL.B. course is Pre-degree/Plus 2. Eligibility for admission is through Entrance test conducted by the Entrance Commissioner.

For LLM
The number of students admitted in each of the LL.M. classes will be 10. The Mode of Selection is through Entrance test conducted by the Entrance Commissioner. Candidates who have passed LL.B. (3 year course) and LL.B.(5 year course) are eligible to apply for LL.M. Course.
