Cochin Media School is the First Authentic Film & Broadcasting Institute in Kerala, and is a pioneering project of Cochin Media City Ltd. Cochin Media School, a conglomerate hub of media education and training, has been in the forefront of training film and television professionals since 2007. This film institute was inaugurated by Sri. Madhu, a doyen of Malayalam film industry on 18th April 2007. Located in the heart of Cochin at Panampilly Nagar, adjacent to the South Over bridge, Cochin Media School is the first ISO 9001-2008 Moody International UKAS certified Film and Broadcasting institute in India. Cochin Media School is managed by an Administrator and is advised by a duly constituted Governing Council and an Academic Council composed of eminent personalities. The academic course of the school is in session since August 2007. The institute offers a limited number of scholarships to deserving students in the 12 months and 15 months long term programmes. These scholarships are awarded during the year based on the performance in module exercise, examinations and projects. The financial background and personal conduct of the student are vital parameters while considering the candidates for scholarship.

Cochin Media School Admission Details

Admissions are conducted after screening the applicants through an aptitude test and a competitive interview.This includes a written examination and a competitive interview. Successful candidates are listed for admissions. The part time programmes offered by the institute are certificate courses, with class schedules on a day each week. The process of admission is rigorous and highly competitive. Therefore it is strongly advised to apply well in advance, get proper counselling and prepare for the aptitude test.
The basic qualification for admission is a pass in plus two or an equivalent course. Maximum age limit on date of application will be 30 years.
Application Forms can be obtained from the Administration Department on payment of cash or DD of Rs. 500/- (Demand Drafts should be in favour of Cochin Media School and payable at Cochin).

Cochin Media School Facilities

The institute is equipped with adequate facilities that include a reference library consisting of a substantial collection of subject specific books relating to every aspect of filmmaking, film industry, television and new media. The library also subscribes to a number of technical and general periodicals published in the country and abroad.
