C S I College of Education Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram

The C.S.I College of Education,Parassala, was established during the academic year 1995-96.C S I College of Education, LMS Compound was formally inaugurated by our then Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr.Samuel Amirtham on 3.1.1996. Most Rev. Dr.l.jesudasan, the former Bishop was the Chief Guest on the great occasion.It was a long-cherished aspiration of the South Kerala Diocese-Church of South India and the people of Parassala to have a College for Education at Parassala.The College is affiliated to the University of Kerala.The plans for development include the starting of M.Ed course, guidance and counseling center and a placement cell.

C.S.I College of Education Facilities:

• Computer Labs:A well furnished Computer Lab is also used by our students and faculty.Our student teachers conduct Computer Aided Classes.Compact disks and floppies are prepared on the basis of High School and Higher Secondary School syllabus by using Power Point Presentation.
• Language Labs :A well furnished language lab is being maintained by the Department of English.It helps student teachers to hear the native pronunciation and to improve their own pronunciation, stress and intonation.All the English Optional students prepare audio cassettes and disks of their own pronunciation

Admission Procedure:

• 100 eligible Graduates (10+2+3) are trained in five Optional viz.English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Natural Science and Social Science.
• 100 seats are equally divided among the five disciplines for all the Eight batches.
