Bishop Moore Vidyapith in Alappuzha

Bishop Moore Vidyapith, Mavelikara (and Higher Secondary School) is named after the late Bishop Edward Alfred Livingstone Moore, the fourth Anglican Bishop of Travancore -Cochin (1925-37), who had made significant contributions in the field of general and higher education during his tenure as a missionary in India.

This school started as an English Medium Residential School.After a series of discussions and negotiations, it was finally decided to raise the school to a High school, affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination. The CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese agreed to accept the management of the school.
