Basel Evangelical Mission Higher Secondary School was established as an English School in May 1858 by Rev. J. Strobel, a Missionary of Basel Evangelical Mission.It was upgraded to a Middle School in 1864 and to a High School in 1905. It became a Higher Secondary School in the year 2000. School is Affiliated to DHSE, Thiruvananthapuram, State Council Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Kerala.
It is located in the heart of Palakkad City of India. The admissions have been open to all without discrimination of religion, caste status in society.
