Al Azhar College of Engineering & Technology was established under Noorul Islam Trust in Thodupuzha in 2010 as a private sector self-financing engineering college affiliated to Kerala Technological University. The institute has the approval of AICTE and Government of Kerala. The institute is conceived as a center of excellence, providing opportunities to the students for learning through realization, building self-confidence with global outlook, achieving knowledge management with healthy and ethical outlook. The institution focuses on infusing discipline and direction into the future technologists. At Al Azhar College of Engineering & Technology both the faculty and students are encouraged and given full support to pursue the research on the subject of their choice. Admission Procedure

For B.Tech - Candidates for admission to the B.Tech. Engineering degree course shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of State Board of Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent by any Universities of Kerala, with 60% aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry put together and 45% marks in Mathematics are eligible for admission. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.

For M.Tech - Admissions to the M. Tech course are done directly on the basis of merit. GATE qualified candidate are preferred. As per AICTE norms. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Candidate should obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
