St. Joseph's College of Pharmacy,Cherthala was established in 2002 with Diploma program mes and was upgraded in 2004. St.Joseph's College of Pharmacy is a unit of the Nirmala Province of the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph (Dharmagiri) Aluva. The college is registered under the Dharmagiri St. Joseph's Hospital Trust, Muttom,Cherthala as a Charitable Trust.The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to University of Kerala. From 2010 onwards the college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).

Facilities
- Lab– At present there are 12 laboratories and a computer center.The PG lab and the research lab are also provided. The labs are as per the norms of AICTE, PCI and the University with the various equipments and other facilities. Modern equipments like Infra Red Spectroscopy, Micro Wave Synthesizer, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography, Double Beam UV, Cad Mach Multi Punch Tablet Machine, Dissolution Apparatus, Coating and Polishing Pans etc are provided.
- Library-St. Joseph’s College of Pharmacy has a well-equipped and well furnished centralized Library. The library is having more than 4000 books in various Pharmacy utical and allied subjects.

Admission Details
- B. Pharm Course: A candidate who has passed +2 or equivalent examinations with aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer as optional subjects will be eligible.
- M.Pharm-A candidate who has passed the B.Pharm Degree Examination of Kerala University of Health Sciences or an examination equivalent thereto of any other university recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences with not less than a total of 55% marks shall be eligible for admission to M.Pharm course. The candidate should have undergone B.Pharm in an institution approved by AICTE & PCI. Candidates those who have passed their B.Pharm course outside Kerala will be eligible for admission only if their qualifying examination is recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences on the date of application/allotment.The candidate shall fulfill eligibility before the last date of application. He/She must be a citizen of India.
- D.Pharm-A candidate who has passed +2 or PDC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as Optional subjects or VHSE with groups A and B or equivalent examinations of any other university recognized by the University of Kerala will be eligible.
