College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Government Medical College, Kozhikode was established in 29 May 1957 .Government Medical College Kozhikode is affiliated to the University of Calicut and Kerala University of Health and Sciences.Calicut Medical College, Calicut is also known as GMC Kozhikode that is one of the premier institutes for medical education in the state of Kerala. In the Year of 1984 the institute broadened its perspective by introducing Dental courses. The Government Medical College Kozhikode has increased its intake of students, from 50 to 200, after its inception. The consolidation of undergraduate medical education was achieved in the 1960s.
