Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy is the realization of a huge delighted dream of the people of Chalakudy and the suburbs.The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut and is aided by the Government of Kerala.The College was started in 1980 by the Alvernia Province of Franciscan Clarist Congregation.At the beginning there were 160 students in two batches and 12 Faculty for teaching purpose. The whole campus is Eco-friendly and pollution-free, with lot of flowering trees and coconut trees giving a greenish look to the campus. The college provides congenial atmosphere for learning. At present the College offers 10 courses for Graduation and Post Graduation.The college also offers a UGC aided PG Diploma course in New Media and Entertainment Technologies.
