Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Calicut, a fully residential,co-educational institution established in the year 1987-88, under Ministry of Human Resource development, Govt. Of India. The Vidyalaya is affiliated to CBSE.The Vidyalaya is located in Guhamukku, at a distance of 11 kilometers from Badagara Railway Station, on Badagara-Maniyoor route.Navodaya Vidyalayas follow the normal Three Language Formula i.e.Regional language, Hindi and English.

JNV Calicut is fully residential institution run by NavodayaVidyalayaSamiti, New Delhi under MHRD. It is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. The Vidyalaya has got separate hostels for boys and girls.Free food is being provided to all students. Admission Details

CBSE conducts admiision to JNV in the Month of February every year. The test is held annually on All India basis and at block and district levels. It is objective, class neutral and is so designed as to ensure that rural children are not at disadvantage. Admissions in Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalayas primarily for children from the rural areas, with provision of 75% seats for rural children. Seats are reserved for children from the SC and ST communities in proportion to their population in the district but not less than the national average. 1/3 of the seats are for girl students. 3% of the seats are for disabled children.
